Re: Polishing aluminum wheels-question?
I have billett aluminum wheels too so I know what you mean about trying to find a good polish. I have found a product called Wenol. It is pretty hard to get but you can just do a Google search on it if you want more information. To be honest I had to get mine at a custom auto parts store. But the product works really good with a lot of elbow grease of course.
I just use a finishing cloth or a nice terry towell and rub on and keep rubbing it until the stuff turns into a black powder. Then take a seperate cloth and wipe the powder off and then just buff to a very nice mirror shine.
Tip from my experience: I wouldn't use a real nice towell like a DF Towell because by the time you are done, your wrag will be almost if not completely black and you will have to throw it away.

I used a Mini-Powerball with some Speedy Metal Polish on mine, followed by a coat of Mother's Aluminum Polish. Shined up 24 years of neglect on my Corvette wheels
