Porter Cable

I love my PC - Porter Cable variable speed polisher. Cost about $110 -$125. A true tool. Not a toy.

Why do you want to purchase a rotary buffer? I would highly, highly advise only using an orbital buffer, you can have the Porter Cable orbital kit at Lowes for 109.00. It has adjustable speeds and you can get tons and tons of different pads for it at www.topoftheline.com

I got the PC at Lowes and ordered the yellow and oragne cutting pads, the white polish pad, and the black finish pad along with the velcro quick change backing plate from Top of the Line to go with my PC.... (PC does not come with a velcro quick change backer plate, only a white buffer pad that has to be changed with a tool)

Nothing if you are experienced in using one and know that you can quickly remove paint with one, and sometimes make more of a paint problem than you had to start with...

Porter Cable is what we used in our shops, we used to buy 100 a year, glad I kept a few.

That pad looks like it is made for a rotary buffer, might not be too effective on a random orbit like the PC

Here are your PC pads: www.lakecountrymfg.com

Their ok, they dont make anything in the league of the Porter Cable, I think all they have is a 10 inch fixed head orbital buffer unit that uses bonnetts. I have never seen a Craftsman rotary car buffer, I dont think they make a grinder/buffer especially made for auto use...
