Polished LT1 SLP CAI?

I was just wondering if anyone has tried to polish an SLP CAI for the LT1? I would like to try it so that it looks like the GM version. Any pics or advice on making it look good?

That looks great. What did you do to get the black coating off? I was thinkng about just sand blasting it. Did you find nything extra helpful for the really tight areas between the tubes?
Thanks for the help

I used Dads paint stripper. The powdercoating came off in chunks and only took about 45 min. I would do this instead of sand blasting b/c then you would have to smooth out all of the pitting.
I got the stripper at walmart and it made the project a TON easier.

Youll notice once you take the powdercoating off the tube is dark and the areas around the welding are brown. Start with some 400 grit paper and work your way down to polishing. Thats what I did and it turned out like the pics in the sig.

That sounds like a good idea, cheaper also! I have noticed that the coating on the SLP CAI is kind of soft. You don't have a pic of it installed do you?
