Peeling clear coat. Bought a Buffer. How do I keep from Screwing it up?
Peeling clear coat. Bought a Buffer. How do I keep from Screwing it up?
the clear coat is peeling pretty badly on my car. I bought a 3400 rpm buffer from walmart today. how do I go about doing this? Do I just lay it flat and go over the peeling spots till it's smoothe then spray some clear on those spots and wax it when I'm done? That seems too simple
Re: Peeling clear coat. Bought a Buffer. How do I keep from Screwing it up?
if the clear is peeling the only thing you can do is repaint.
buffing will do nothing for it.
if you bought a "real" buffer i wouldn't recommend doing it yourself anyways. it's a good way to permanently **** up your paint.
basically, the only way to "fix" it is to get the car repainted. once the clear is gone, no amount of buffing will help.

dammit. guess ill return the buffer then. this is a budget build car, so i dont want to spend any money on paint. i now dub it the peel-mobile
