painting my car

I need to paint my right fender and my left rear quarter panel, should i do the whole car? im gonna do it myself, already got the spray gun, and the neighbor is gonna let barrow his air compressor. what is the best paint i can buy? du-pont, 3M? and what about the clear coat, how long after applying the paint do I need to wait to spray on the clear coat? how should I sand it? just go straight with 2000 grit or use 1000 first and work it down to 2000? I'm thinking about doing the whole car because I did just some areas and it looks real bad, all dull and the color doesnt really match. I used a paint brand called "OMNI" and the clear coat didnt match with the old one. it sux. if I do the whole car is going to be the same color all over and that way I can get rid of some little scratches. I need some guidence. I dont wanna pay $600 bucks for a paint job. I ment, I dont mind paying the asking price for a job well done but I dont have the money nor the means to get it and it would take me like 4 month to save that much money. so if I dont wanna be riding on crapy looking car I gotta do it myself. but i dont want to send it to hell neither.

thank you all.

A very good all over paint job should run at least 1,500 to 3,000

I would advise you not to attempt to paint your own car.
