painting a hood that was already painted.
I have a hood that was painted, basecoat no clear because a few peices of hair landed on the wet paint. So the hood was moved around a few times before I got it and there were a few small chips in the basecoat. I picked the hairs out and sanded them smooth the same with the small chips.
When I sanded out the chips I went through the base coatto the primer. The base coat is teal ( the same color I will be painting it) the primer is gray. Do you thin I should reprimer the whole hood or will the fresh paint cover it good.

primer isnt a base coat
It wont hurt if you just spray base "color" over the spot u sanded through but you should tech. use a sealer just over the spot you repaired.Keep it small so you dont have to use alot of color and fan away on the edges to blend.
Im not trying to be an *ss to the person above by the way
