Paint Oxidization.

Anyway to get paint that has oxidized (faded) back to it's original color? Or atleast a little darker / protect it from oxidizing anymore?

Klasse All-In-One works wonders on oxidized paint, and protects in one step.

www.topoftheline.com has it cheapest.

I have heard good things about AIO. You could also pick up gliptone's pro buff cleaner. It is especially good at cleaning up oxidation, dirt, and swirls and light scratches from paint.

If you have oxidation your best bet would be a product like 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover with a buffer, follow that with your favorite "wax product" , you need abrasive to remove the oxidation "dead paint" to get your car looking good again. You can find 3M Scratch and Swirl Remover at most Pep Boys stores.

First of all, any crappy buffer will not do the job. Most off-the-shelf "buffers" will not generate enough heat to break down the abrasives in polishes. Anything like a Porter Cable 7336/7424 or faster will do the job.

Second of all, abrasives are not needed. Chemical cleaners will do the trick, hence my Klasse All-In-One recommendation.

www.topoftheline.com has it cheapest AFAIK.

Just go in back and forth motions with a foam applicator. No circles..buff off w/a microfiber towel.

Carl beat me to it. I've used the 3M polishes on my mom's badly oxidized 4-Runner and it looks brane new now. I used the 3M Finesse-It II Machine Polish, available at any local place.
