Question Oxidation?

Hey fellas,

I looks like my Z is showing its age and getting some oxidation on the paint on the lower portion of the driver's side door. Is there something in particular I should use to combat this and keep it from returning? I did use a sort of a cutting compound on my sisters car before that had the same problem. It did the trick but the problem returned.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm quite a noobie at all this but I'm always eager to learn.

Thanks!

tom

Re: Oxidation?

i would say use a claybar, and maybe even give it a polish too with a wax as the final step and you should be good. the rest of ur car is bound to have some oxidation as well so u might as well go ahead and just give the whole car a detail if you got the time and area to do it.

Re: Oxidation?

good buff job would help it ....bring it back to lovely red but u will need to keep on the wax to keep it happy . .....u should do the whole car ..a clay bar wont change the cars appearance ...it will remove fallout and overspray ....( i am a detailer ) ...good luck ....
