Regarding the outside rear view mirrors mounting pads on my 95 Camaro, what are they made of, rubber or plastic, and can they be painted with what, and or can they be replaced with little difficulty? I took of my mirrors to have them painted and when I went to reinstall them, the mounting pads were badly corroded or has some kind of oxidation. I would like to clean them up before reinstalling the mirrors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
