Outdoor car cover of choice
Outdoor car cover of choice
I need a good outdoor car cover for my 95 Z with ground skirts. I don't have enough indoor storage, so the car sits outside. Who makes the cover of choice and what kind of money am I looking at??
Thanks

Calcarcover.com, and you should pick either the Noah or the Supremeweave (or the top of the line cover). The Noah starts at around 160 and it might be 200+ before your done. The Supremeweave is somewhat higher, and I believe their retail might start at around 220 or 230.
Either one is an excellent cover, and they will keep your car dry without marring or scratching of any kind (which is unacceptable for most good quality car covers). Good luck.

Sorry to hijack the thread for a second, but lbls1, what do you think of a Wolf Automotive Universal one? I saw one on Summit for 55 bucks and I'm sort of tight on money so not sure what to do. Basically, it's for my 92 that is gonna sit outside during winter since I'm getting my sister's Cavalier as a winter beater.
Or if you could reccommend me some somewhat cheap, good ones for my 92. Thanks, I appreciate it.

Has anyone heard of huggercovers? I got a flyer when I was at the Canadian Camaro Nationals. They're premium protection cover runs $320 CDN. Any thoughts or comments?

I have heard of Wolf but I do not know of their quality. The basic thing that the cover will need is to be constructed of Evolution 4 fabric technology. It should have a middle barrier to allow fresh air to breathe in and moisture to escape.
I will not recommend a cheap cover for a car that you care about, unless this cover is breathable, and will go on top of your high quality cover (for heavy rain storms and ice-I've done this, again with almost no moisture coming in and no marring or scratching, ever.). You will be better off without a cover than to saddle up with a cheapo cover, and enduring a poor fit, scratches and streaks, and everything else that can come with having a cheap car cover.

I have the Wolf car cover specifically fitted for the 93-2002 camaros. It cost me a 150.00 for the cover and another 10.00 for the locking cable. I cant say enough good things about it. It is durable and water resistant and has taken alot of Midwest weather beatings.
