Question Ordered Zaino should be here tuesday???

Hey im going to be trying zaino. i ordered the zfx,z5,z6,z7. I didn't have the money on my credit card for the claybar. I have read how u guys rave about it. Could i use a claybar that they sell on the shelves or does it have to be a zaino only to use the zaino products. Which one should i get? Is this really nessarcy? Tell me some tips on how to use it correctly. Im sure this has been asked 100 times oh well Thank guys

Thumbs up

Cool! You'll love Zaino!!

Anyhow, sure you can use any clay bar, doesn't HAVE to be Zaino's. Although, the Z18 bar is the best I've ever used FWIW. Z18 is just a really good quality bar and very effective clay.

YES, claying is ncessary, even on NEW cars. It removes deep contaminants that washing and waxing can't. It's a must for the ultimate smooth and glassy feeling surface. But, since you didn't order any Z18, here's what I'd do. Find a local AutoZone, PepBoys, etc in your area and look either for the Mother's Clay kit or Clay Magic blue bar. I'd take Clay Magic over Mother's if you can find it. Local body and paint shops sell Clay Magic if the auto stores dont have it. Stay away from Meguiar's clay bars! I used them in the past, and they plain suck! When you order Zaino again in the future, you should get Zaino's clay, it's WELL worth it!.

Here's some tips:
Wash the car with DAWN and rinse it completely. Then, use your Z7 car wash as the lube for the clay. I use my car wash bucket filled half with water and a capful or two of Z7 mixed in. Use your cotton wash mitt or cloth to completely cover the surface with suds and water, then begin claying in that area. Repeat over the whole car until finished. Should take 2 hours tops if you're very thorough. After you're done, it should feel glassy smooth to the touch and ready for your first coats of ZFX.

Good Luck!
