Metal polish, Blue Magic, Wenol, Mothers, many companies make a good metal polish.

Another metal polish that works well is called Never Dull, from Eagle One. Just take a wad of the chemically treated fiber and polish away. When finished, clean off any residue well.

I like Wenol for polishing stainless or other non-painted metals, you can find it at the link below or at most big car events (Carlisle,Super Chevy meets, etc.),although it is rare to find it in stores (at least here in PA).

I second the Brasso. That stuff is great for MANY things. I also use #0000 steel wool with brasso on my tips, it helps get off the tar specks. Have to rub lightly though, it's still slightly abrasive.

I tried using the Mother's metal polish, and I didn't think it did a very good job.
Felt like an idiot for wasting my money.

I actually slapped on a layer of Z5 on my polished tips instead and it looked better.

Thumbs up

I noticed that my B&B tips were VERY dirty because of the winter, and really needed to be cleaned. The other day I went to Walmart and picked up some Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish. First I tried it on an old golf club to make sure it was OK, then, after being thoroughly impressed, I went to work on my tips. They look absolutely perfect! After finishing my tips I went back to my golf clubs and polished my whole set!

I used some #000 steel wool to apply the polish rather than the cloth that the instructions recommend. It didn't leave any scratches at all and took out all the roughness on my tips.
