I have no clue what's going on. I have a 99 Camaro and the headlights are turning yellow in color. I used Maguires(sp) Scratch-X and it helped a little. What can I do to restore them to a very clear point? While I'm at it, two paint questions. I had a bird aim and direct hit a nice 4" round spot on my hood and you can still see it over a year later. What might remove this? I've tried the Scratch-X and compound with no luck. I also have the lovebug problem. I've came across a few spots where they paint has been ate through and I always have spots where they're smeared and will not come off the front bumper.
Thanks for the ideas.

I've heard of some people using real fine grit sand paper and sanding down and then spraying some cleat coat on it but that seems kinda ghetto to me.

For the lights, go at them with some polishing compound, maybe with metal polish for finishing. If they're really bad you might have to wet sand with the finest grit you can find.
As for the paint blemishes, a good buffer and some polishing compound are my best suggestion. Some wax makers also sell paint cleaners that will help also.

Many people wetsand and clearcoat their lights. There's nothing ghetto about that. It's called protection. Metal polishes also work pretty well to clean up dingy lights.
