Is Zaino worth using on a Silver car?
Im posting this for a friend who has indeed heard of Zaino, but wonders if its worth the price to use on his 1998 Silver Camaro SS? I know that protection wise the answer is ''yes'' but how does Zaino look on a silver car? Can other products (I didnt call it a wax because I know from reading threads in here that Zaino is NOT a wax) make his silver car LOOK as good as Zaino would? Thanks in advance

97_396_WS6,
I'm not sure if there are any distributors in your State. You can email Sal Zaino at sal@zainobros.com to find out if there are any. The closest I know of is Chicago or Iowa: Chicago: www.mvpclassics.com OR IOWA: email Matt at: zaino@thebennettcompanies.com I'm sure either can get the product to you just as quickly...

Well ill put it to ya this way im a member on many f-body sites and and this site mainly lives on Zaino (which i have) im not putting zaino down it is good, its just that formula 113 just gives just as good deep wet shine as zaino, it saves you money it is ten times easier to use, and im a hard core detailer, also the formula 113 helped me place 3rd at Camaro at Carlisle last year in the mild modified class, you cant go wrong with this product wanna know any more get in touch with me at darrenh@carr.org see ya
Yeah, if you're looking for an abrasive carnauba formulation, F113 is your product. There's no difference between the way F113 works and Meguiar's Cleaner/Wax for $5 a bottle. Very old school technology...
Use it if you like it though...

Hey im not trying to start anything we are all f-body owners here, but if you wanna spend a lifetime on waxing your car while i have the same great shine as Zaino ill drive by and wave while your still waxing and im out actually enjoying my car while looking good!!!
It's cool with me. I just wanted you and others to know that F113 is certainly nothing new as far as its formula goes. I just hate to see honest people get jipped by false advertising and BS marketing that's all. I mean I have no financial interest or ownership in Zaino or any other company for that matter, so honestly I could care less what anyone uses as long as it makes you happy in the end. I do happen to believe in Zaino since it's the best product I've found so far, that's why I'm quick to recommend it to anyone. Besides, who says I'm out "waxing" my car for a lifetime? I can add a coat of Zaino as quickly as any other product and I know it's guaranteed to outlast, outshine, and outprotect anything else out there. As soon as your car heats up from the Spring and Summer sun, or it rains a couple times, guess what, every bit of that carnauba and silicone is gone from your car leaving it unprotected and less shiny as before. So, who really has to spend a "lifetime" keeping a wax on their car...mine doesn't melt or wash off, no worries here...
Like I said, I have no financial interest in selling, profiting, or otherwise owning part of Zaino from giving and sharing advice to others. I call it like I see it, and I know the truth and the facts of the matter. Product wars are stupid, silly, and look unprofessional IMHO, so I generally refrain from doing so. But, I'll never let others be blinded by misinformation or BS as there's a LOT of that going on in the car care or "wax" industry. If it's better than Zaino, great, I'll look forward to using it soon...

Thanks for the replies, ok any idea (ballpark wise) to about how much a ''starter kit'' of Zaino is, if there is such a thing? I have a Bright Red TA, which I would say is at LEAST avg. in paint condition.I know Zaino has products for leather, etc, etc, but I think im just leaning towards getting their car finish products. Anyone have an idea about how much a ''avg'' price would be for Zaino and what products would you recommend? Thanks again I truly appreciate all your help!

You can get started for under $33 if you want just the Zaino polish and precleaner, Z1+Z2 or Z1+Z5. It really depends on how much you wanna spend to get started and if you want the new ZFX additive instead of Z1. Also, does your car have swirls? If so, go with Z5, if not you'll want Z2. So, here's a great starter kit assuming you have light swirls: Z1(or ZFX), Z5, Z6, and Z7. That kit comes to $43.80 minus shipping with Z1, or $54.80 with ZFX. Later or if you wanna go ahead and get some, I'd HIGHLY recommend Z2 since it has a higher shine and clarity than Z5. If your car needs claying too, I'd suggest the Zaino clay as it's an above average clay, or at the least buy some local store bought clay before beginning the Z treatment. It really makes a difference in end results!
