mother's powerball for paint

There are several types of powerballs for metal and other finishes which are red -- the big yellow one in that video that Injuneer posted is for paint.
I've used both the PowerBall 4Paint and a Sears random-orbitals -- a better random-orbital than the cheap random orbitals from wal-mart -- and I'd take the PowerBall 4Paint any day.
If you've got a decent cordless drill, the PowerBall 4Paint makes waxing effortless. You just balance the drill on the paint, pull it full trigger (in low-speed range) and glide it across the surface. Much, much easier and more thorough than applying by hand. Because it compresses, you can cover broad areas, get around curves, foglights, mirrors and so on.
No, it's not a pro-level defect-removing random-orbital costing $200, but then again it doesn't cost $200.
If you're waxing by hand and find it to be too much work, the PowerBall 4Paint will make the job quick and easy.
