Wink Mold Me Guys!

Hi! I'm not sure how you embrace a newcomer to the scene but here I am. 21 Year old female with a great interest in great cars. Can't find any of the women around me to share my intrest, so how am I gonna learn? Yeah, I know I'm using you guys... but can we still be friends??? Anyways, here's the deal. I bought a 94 camero today. I don't know a thing about mods and how to make it sparkle but I am your sponge. I want to know what Zaino is. How to begin usage of it on my car. I want to know how to make this regular camero be one that I won't want to trade back in in two years when I'm done paying for it. But I can settle for starting with appearance advice. Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thanks!

Liss

Thumbs up

Zaino is the best car polish out there by far. For more information, be sure to check out www.zainobros.com. A good basic starter kit would be Z-1, Z-2, and Z-7 (all of these along with the other Zaino types are explained on Sal's website).

Good luck and welcome to the board!

Welcome to the board Liss! First, congrats on your CamAro purchase. Check ou the Zaino Bros website first, it has a wealth of info. The basics you'll need are Z1,Z2,Z6,Z7, and probably Z18. One other thing, CamAro, is spelled with an A, not an E.... FYI

Red face

Talk about red faced. LOL Must have been middle of the night crazies. I have since changed the name to CamarGO. THanks for the spellcheck!

Thanks for the info on where to look up the zaino products guys! I appreciate the advice and any other advice that could be given. Also, with minor dents or dings...what can be done with that. And, well yes the worst happened. the day after I got it *today* somehow my bumpergot scratched pretty badly. The back bumper. It's a twenty two inch long white scratch... anything I can do about that short of taking it to a professional?

You need to find who ever locally does paintless dent removal or also know as the Dent Doctor guys.

If you can work with paint compouns like 3M Rubbing compound or 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39909 then yes, if not, carry it to a detail shop.

Cool

If it's not a deep scratch, you may want to try some 3M "Perfect It" Swirl Mark Remover for Dark Colored Cars (Part Number 39009).

Here is the link which describes some 3M products:

http://www.3m.com/market/automotive/product3.html

You can more than likely find 3M products at places like Pep Boys.

As far as dents and dings, you might want to check to see if a paintless dent removal service is in your area.

EDIT: Looks like KevinSS beat me by a few seconds!
