Microfiber Towels
I'm thinking of trying MF towels again, as my first experiences weren't the greatest. Anyone know of any sources for great quality MF towels and have any opinions on using them? Marring really isn't an issue now for me, so I'm just thinking that MF may be a little faster and more efficient than cotton. I'm still not sold on the fact that MF is best for use on paint, but I'm willing to try again. I do know they work great on glass, wheels, etc though! I know some Zaino distributors are even selling MF instead of cotton supplies now. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Carl, do you use MF much or mostly stick with cotton?
What's the deal with the blend of these towels? I've heard some say 70/30 is best and others that 80/20 is best. I hoping for better luck in the future with MF, but as with anything, they'll have to prove to me that they cause absolutely no marring and have some greater benefit than cotton. I guess I'm having a hard time seeing a huge benefit from switching....
But, I'm open for suggestions or ideas....
Thanks,
Mike

80:20 appear the most paint friendly. These 2 sources have internal QC with each inventory arrival. This prevents shipping of lesser quality MF's to customers.

Jt International! Best place for quality MF towels at an awesome price. Email him at jtintern@hotmail.com and ask for a pricelist. Also, try his waffle weave towels. They are awesome for drying vehicles and they are the best price you can get on them!
YoSteve also make good ones. (yosteve.com) I have some of his towels that I only use for windows because they do not leave any lint at all. Some MF towels I have tried leave massive lint on windows, which can be seen in the sun.

Mike, I am still using cotton from Kevin, I kid you not I have at least 200 mf towels from 25+ different companies, some are good and some are junk, the problem is still inconsistent quality from the same manufacturers, we have found a good source, or so it seems, you should hear more in the next few months about these towels if the tests keep going as good as they have been so far.
Hmmm, well, there are several sources mentioned here, and I'd rather not order from everyone to try to find the best MF towels. Maybe I'll hold off for a little more info. It seems like the MFTech.com "Elite" towels might be good quality, but who knows. I have not seen or heard enough good reports about any of these to make an informed decision. I'll keep them all in mind though as I'm researching and shopping.
I think I'll try the "Elite" towels first and go from there!
Thanks,
Mike
