Anyone know anything about MAACO

So I want to get my project 1995 BMW M3 repainted. Its the famous BMW Alpine White III. I went to Maaco got a quote for the top notch paint service for $800 (if I remove all the panels, which I did). Now does anyone know if Maaco paint is bad. I did most of the prep, I just need some sanding and paint. If you guys have any idea's or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the Maaco. I've seen a few cars come out 'Show' quality in similar situations as you are asking about from one Maaco in the area... But the other well paint falls of the car before it's out of the driveway..

So depends on who paints the car and who mixes the paint, as the prep work is all done.. I personally wouldn't use them for a car you really care about, but if it's your daily everyday car and just want it to look decent probably worth it.

You could also talk with other local paint shops and just get a quote for the sake of seeing how 'cheap' Maaco really is....

hmmm.... good advice I might call the locals since I did most of the preping.

What the guy told me from this MAACO is the paint mixture is done by machine so the mix will be 100% Alpine While III.

Idk.... this is becoming such a worry, I mean this paint is the last stage of all I wanted to do to the car, this could make or break this project. And I don't want to cash out $8,000 like I was quoted at the BMW dealership.

Definately ask around for a local shop then... Don't use Maaco... If nothing else call your insurance company and ask them who they recommend for a body shop, at least that will get you a local shop if you can't find one through word of mouth / local car clubs.
