lizard skin sound insulation

thought i would share with you my project from last week.

i honestly thought this would be allot harder since i have little experience in painting, but with a spray gun the stuff is pretty idiot proof. just as long as you take your time taping everything up nicely, even then it is water based so a little overspray comes off paint and glass easily. one container of it is enough to coat the inside of my whole 96 f body (except under dash and firewall).

a couple pics of the process.

as for the sound it works great, the amount of noise reduction at highway speed is very noticeable

Cool? Did you do the ceramic kind?

How much would you say a can of the stuff weighs?

i didnt get the high temp stuff because i dont really have a heat problem that would need the extra weight (guessing) of the ceramic spray, also it was ten bucks more.not sure exactly of the weight, the bucket was only 2 gallons, not enough for me to notice.
