Post lime or something on my chrome wheels

my chrome wheels are a bit hazy. i tried meguiars all chrome restorer and it did't take it off. this crap is also on my side mirrors. i think it might be lime or calcium deposits since i bought the car from a guy in california that lived by the ocean. my question is, if i use lime away or clr on my wheels will it damage them? and if it does, is there anything out there that will take that crap off my chrome.

I do not know about the Meguiars chrome product, but Turtle Wax makes a pretty good chrome polish, you can also use Zaino Z-12 glass polish on chrome and the Z-12 will remove all the deposits on the mirrors and glass.
