Klasse, PS21, Poor Boys or Souveran

Well I have gone from mothers to Meguairs to Liquid glass. I have even used the cheap stuff like Black Magic wax, Kit car wax and so on. I am now using zano. Every week I wash the car I toss another coat on and let it dry 1-6 hours. Now I have been doing a lot of research and was considering trying one of the others like: Klasse, PS21, Poor Boys or Souveran.

I was going to test them on my Ford Explorer. It is gold and I currently use liquid glass on it. Then if I like it and it lasts I may leave Zano. “My” current car is red.

Ya Zano last’s long, it looks good, but is not jumping out to me the way I was hoping it would. I would not go back to liquid glass on this car, but not sure zano is “king” for the red car.

Can you top zano off with a pure carnauba? It would give a deeper shine. Has anyone used any of the other above brands?

Both cars are garage kept and I live in Florida. I do like the shine I am getting, but I feel I am settling and missing the right product for a red car.

In your climate, carnauba waxes would not be a good choice. Carnauba melts at a point that is cooler than the exterior of your car. There are people on this board who have used the products you have listed, and I think all of them came back to Zaino.

I am just looking for feedback. I am actually considering going all out on zano. Now to throw a twist into it, if you were detailing cars and was just going for look not last what would you use?

Personally, I'd still use Zaino, because it goes on and off so easy, and I dont have to worry about cleaning residue out of the body seams... or having wax powder all over the car...

Plus a little goes a long way, so it's pretty economically sound as well.

If you were going into a detailing business, Zaino might not be the main way to go because it lasts so long. What you need is repeat business, and that means you want the people coming back as soon and often as possible. Some detailers are on this board, and some offer Zaino as a premium service at a premium price.

I just was thinking something like klasse would be better for detail work because a greater shine and it might hide swirl marks better.

I am not going into business, I tend to have neighbors ask me to do their cars all the time because they see mine and see me out there. So for 35 bucks a pop why not. I just want a nice shine for them not zano durability. For me I want shine and durability.

Also, I enjoy spending time cleaning my cars so it is now big issue if I need multiple steps on my ride.

I can sort of understand the "lasts too long" arguement... but, offer a quality product and a quality job, and word will spread.

Also, a lot of people who have cars detailed also like to have them washed by someone else as well... which means you may pick up repeat business that way too.

Add to that the fact that when a return customer does come back for another polshing job, it is even easier with the base of Zaino already laid... and I think it is a winning combination.

Nothing works better in that business than word of mouth, IMO... friends will send friends your way if they are satisfied.

Get ZFX, that way you have no drying time. I have several customers that feel "they need" to have carnauba on their cars, so they top Zaino with P21S and others, I personally have never seen an improvement by "topping" Zaino with carnauba, but shine is very subjective so you may want to try it.

poorboys is great for removing swirls id go with the ssr1, propolish, topped with ex

klasse: is a good acrylic poymer which is good for a long lasting sealant aio + sg = durability and a nice deep wet look

souveran: havent tried but its on order

if you have the money to buy all these you will not be dissappointed with
ssr1, aio, sg, topped with p21s that will make you not want to go back to zaino. but you have to realize that if you top your car with a carnuba it wont last long probabl 1-2 moonths if garaged. it will look better than zaino but your gonna have to reapply the p21 every month or so

you could top the sg with the blackfire which will last a bit longer than the p21. none of these products will last as long as zaino does, then again zaino may not look at wet as souveran

Last is not important, wet deep shine is. I keep it in the garage, wax it usualy after each wash or in this case zano after each wash. THe zano does a good job, but it lacks depth IMO. I may just stay with it because it is a good product, but I do not think it is the best.

Here is what i want:

Deep wet shine
Must last 1 month
Multiple layers can be applied or I can wax each week and no ill affects
Must be easy to apply and take off

I currently use z5, plan to try z2
Also my car is red
