Lightbulb I think I'm gonna have to try this Zaino.... But..

I just did the Meguiers 3 step (Cleaner, Polish & Wax) system & it really makes my car shine. The car never sees weather & I am original owner. It looks as good as it did back in '94 new. Now will I really notice a better shine by trying Zaino or because my car is never in the elements should I stick with the Meguires?

Thanks

Will you see a better shine? Zaino is one of the clearest products sold today, and since protection is not important in your case you may or may not see a difference with Zaino, of course after some time with multi coats of Zaino on your car, you should see a difference, but then again shine is very subjective.

Hmmm... interesting situation.

To be honest, if I just put all that work into the detailing job you just did, and didn't know if I'd like Zaino any better or not... I'd be a bit hestatant.

But, knowing how much I perfer Zaino, yes, I would do it.... especially because, like hcvone said, you can start the layering process, and start stacking layers on there... then it will REALLY shine.

Rather than changing your present system ( carnuaba-based) you may want to try a glossier carnuaba. P21S/ S100 will definitely give you a better gloss, wetness and depth of finish than the Meguiar's and equivalent to Zaino in gloss and clarity. It can be applied on top of your prepped vehicle. Check out your local Harley Davidson shop for S100 paste wax($15). It is a non-cleaning carnuaba wax that is extremely easy to use and give fantastic results. If not found locally can be purchased online ( P21S www.properautocare.com, www.autogeek.com. Excellent carnuaba for cars requiring finish enhancement when protection is not part of the equation ( garage queens).

If you would like to read some other reviews of these products (P21S/S100) go to www.autopia.org and do a search and view some of the vehicles topped with this carnuaba formulation.

Since your car isn't a daily driver and doesn't need max protection, sounds like you could probably benefit from some other less durable products. Having used nearly all of Meguiar's products in the past, I'd say they produce an average shine, but nothing extraordinary. If you don't need durability, I'd highly recommend you pick up S100 wax sold at local Harley dealers. This is the identical twin to P21S concours wax and it leaves an incredible shine, and is very easy to use.....much easier than any Meguiar's product I ever used. You might also like the 3M Show Car Paste Wax. It isn't all that durable either but leaves a nice wet shine. Or, as a higher end alternative, you would probably like the Pinnacle waxes. They aren't at all durable, but do shine great for garage queens and show cars....

And, of course, if you're after a very clear and bright shine, with unbeatable protection, you'll like Zaino. Multiple layers really enhance the color of the paint and create a "show car" look.

Thanks Guys for all the info. I will head to Harley & give the S100 a try. Then maybe later in the year I will get the Zaino.

Thanks again.

Let us know how you love this stuff. Make sure you get the S100 Paste. They have a "spray quik" wax that is completely different formulation (bees wax) and really stinks.
