Help Zaino guys...wtf happened to my Zaino?
Ok. I just got done washing and drying my car tonight. Well I realized something very interesting. My 5 coats of ~2-3 month old Zaino is COMPLETLY GONE. I have noticed the past few days that it hasnt been beeding off like wax. I looks exactly like after you wash your car with dawn. Now this is whats been giong on the past 2 weeks.
Last time i washed the car was about 2 weeks again. I washed and Z6'ed it. (oh i have Z5 on there now). Well I then covered it with my car cover and didnt drive it for about 3 days. I would drive it, and recover it. Then after about 5 days it started raining everyday here in florida. As we all know the pollen is horendous too. Now my car got egged about a week ago..but only on one side...so i washed that one side good with Z7, and just rinsed off the rest of the car. I didnt not dry it cause it was 1 AM and i was freaking pissed. After that happened, i have driven it everyday, in the rain and crap..and i have rinsed it off twice without drying it...rinsed it off with the hose in between pooring rain..so i thought the rain would rinse off the hard tap water.
So my only guess is that the hard florida weather has somehow stipped my Zaino? Its only been on the car for like 2-3 months, so i know its not that old. Before i applied the Zaino..i dawned it, and Claybarred the hood...then applied Z5 with ZFX. I did like 2 coats the first time(kinda thick coats)....then about a month later i put on another 3 coats(really thin after i got the hang of it).
Is there a possibility that this weather did it? It was turning dark as i was drying the car, but i noticed I think there are some hard water spots on the car and TTops now. I hope I didnt just **** up my paint and windows!!!!
Please help me out guys...I will be putting on some more coats tuesday...Should I just put on some more coats and not re-dawn it?

After you washed the car last time with Z7 and used Z6, did the beading come back? A heavy layer of dirt will cause the beading to lessen temporarily until it is washed off.
Also, what did you use on the car prior to applying the very first coat of Zaino? Is it possible the Zaino didn't completely bond with the paint due to another wax on the car that wasn't completely removed?
Zaino should easily be able to go twice as long as it did for you before it needs reapplying. So, I am stumped as to what happened in your case. Unless you have been driving in some very harsh conditions, it should have gone longer.
If you have waterspots on the paint, I'd suggest you use an abrasive cleaner before you add more coats. Plus this will ensure the surface is contaminant free and ready for polishing.
If all else fails, you might want to give Sal Zaino a call, and I'm sure he can try to help diagnose the potential problem(s).
Hope this helped a little.....

I've had Zaino last through the entire winter of every day driving with salt, dirt, rain, etc. I may not get to wash it properly until March and the water would still be beading on it.
I'd call Sal and ask him about it like Mike suggested.

Definitely call Sal. I too have gone through winters w/o washing and had it still bead in the spring.
Did you by any chance use the same wash applicator (mitt, rag, etc.) on the whole car that you used to remove the egg? Maybe the natural paint solvents in the egg got through your entire Z7 mixture and stripped the whole car?
Or did you only rinse the rest of the car w/o a hose?
Anyway, I'd see what Mr. Zaino has to say!

Ok..I just thougth about something..I am an idiot. I did use the same cotton sponge to wash the hole car as I used to wash off the egg. I obviously washed it out very well..but im sure some of it soaked into the sponge. Could the egg be the problem?
And the only wax i had on the car before zaino was some worn off meguires..so i know the dawn got rid of that.

I feel your pain man, I live in Orange Park like 45 minutes from gainsville..... there is really no use in washing my car until the pollen goes away, in one days time my car will turn yellow. and this rain is starting to suck, it's raining like 3-4 times a week now.
