well im touching up a few small chips and scratches on my car and im masking the areas off with that blue painters tape. Its the least adhesive kind i could find, and it doesnt stick strong at all, so how long can it stay on the paint without leaving any marks or anything?

I think you would have to leave it on for *very* long periods of time for there to be any possible issues.

I don't think it would ever leave any marks...maybe if you left it on long enough for the surrounding paint to fade, but that would be ridiculous.

On the blue tape, it usually says how long you can leave it on. I seem to remember some saying you can leave it on for 60 days and it will still release.
