How effective is Zaino swirl remover?

The previous owner waxed the car and left some swirl marks on the door with one of those orbital buffers and it is driving me nuts. How good is the Zaino swirl remover, or is there something better?

Ok, so I'll use the swirl remover first. Then what, do I re-wax the car and then apply the Zaino car care polish? Or do I just go straight to the polish? Also, does Zaino make a car wax? I apologize for my ignorance as I dont know much about car care products outside of Meguiars.

Is Z5 what you're talking about? If so, I've used it and came away less than impressed. To me, Zaino makes excellent sealants and they provide a great shine and durability. But their swirl remover leaves A LOT to be desired *IMO*. It didn't seem to do anything to my cars.

Z5 is not a swirl remover. Z5 gradually fills in swirls and light scratches, over a period of time. Zaino does have a new swirl remover, and I've read mixed reviews about it.

Zaino has a true paint cleaner/polish called Z-PC Fusion. It works pretty well by hand or machine (best results will be with machine).

Wash
Claybar
Wash
Polish - Z-PC
Seal - Z2 Pro
Quick Detail - Z8

I haven't heard many good things about Z-PC.

I love Zaino and will always use it, but as far as their swirl remover goes, I'll pass on it until I hear consistantly good reviews.

Z-PC has gotten lots of good reviews on www.autopia.org and www.detailersclub.com

Re: How effective is Zaino swirl remover?

Thanks for the input everyone. I was at the paint and body shop picking up some paint and sand paper to redo my front bumper (stone chip galore) and they had a shelf of Meguiars stuff, so needless to say, I bought the Meguiars swirl remover. We'll see how it works. It should look like a whole new car before winter.

the best swirl mark remover is, hands down, wizard products finish cut. This stuff makes cars feel like they have wax on them. its easy to work with and very hard to do damage with. I would recommend this stuff to anyone. its so good it even works BY HAND and i have no stock in this company or affiliation

Re: How effective is Zaino swirl remover?

I got my bottle at my local body shop supply. They also carry house of colour paint and other high end brands for show cars, bikes and boats. They stock like 5 brands and they couldn't say enough about the wizards stuff, they even did a demo of it for me. They are the newest formulations, its really amazing what they do, using finish cut on any paint, even new paint will smooth it out and take any small defects out. Its perfect for prewaxing. They have a web site, www.wizardsproducts.com , number is 1 800 356 7223 although i doubt they would sell one bottle since they sell to wholesale body shop suppy houses. i would try local body shop supplies or look for internet retail sites, i have no idea if i got a good price or not but i got a body shop sized bottle for 23 bucks(32 oz's of compound). In the even that you are in a hurry the only other swirl mark remover I would use would be 3m, When you need anything stronger than a paint cleaner or clay bar, its wise to steer clear of anything but professional products, consumer oriented ones either don't work, or do more damamge then good, i guess that the trade secret

Yea, 3M works. I used it on my oxidized 92 and it took it right off. I would highly reccommend it.
