how do I clean my carpet and seats?

What is the best, easiest way for me to clean the carpeting and seats in my camaro? I vaccum it regularly but that only gets the loose stuff... theres a little bit of mud around the floor mats and I was wondering how I should clean that.

My mom bought one of those super heavy duty carpet shampooers and it's got attachments on it that would work good in a car, but it leaves it wet... and I'd worry about not being able to dry it all completely.

Any suggestions?

I'll move this to the Show and Shine forum...

You could use some carpet cleaner from Wal-Mart. That'll work "ok". If you want a really good job done you could probably have the interior professionall detailed for around $25 to $50 or so. Might want to look into that!

nah I'm not gonna pay to get my car cleaned.

with the wal mart stuff I'll have to get it wet though right? If I'm gonna have to get it wet I'll just use my moms carpet shampooer. You put like cleaning chemicals in it and stuff... it's not just water.

Try the Blue Coral stuff from Wal-Mart, it works pretty good. Not too expensive either..just pray it on, wipe it in, let it sit, then wipe it off...not much too it, and like I said, it works pretty good.

I like Lifter1 products for carpeting. www.lifter1.com The carpet cleaner has always worked wonders inside the car and the house too. I tried their carpet shampoo product too, and it just wasn't as effective as the cleaner. Basically, give the car a thorough cleaning then spray a cleaner over the carpets, let it soak in for about a minute, then use clean towels and scrub the carpets clean. Yes, it's a bit of work, but carpets turn out looking like new everytime.
