how to clean white convertible top

No matter what I do I cannot keep it clean. I prefer to keep the top under the boot, which is when the car looks best, but from time to time I have to put it up and it looks terrible. Every place it folds has dirt lines...

It sounds like the compartment where the rag top goes is housing your dirt. Try vacuuming it, do you let it stay down when its outside?

its mostly down, and I keep the boot on it. I will try to keep the bay clean for it, but it has black lines in it where it folded.

I'd recommend steaming the dirty areas, then follow up immediately with a brush, and a soapy bucket, and scrub the dirt out of the seams. You can buy steamers for cheap now. Check Wal-Mart. $15 or so will get you one.
