haze on my window that WONT COME OFF
haze on my window that WONT COME OFF
i have this haze on my rear window that will not come off. period.
first off i do not smoke, nor did the last owner. it has been garage kept its whole life so it was never in the sun for extended periods of time. it came with NO tint and as far as i know it never had aftermarket tint. and yes, it has defogger.
this haze is blotchy and is all over the inside of the rear hatch. ive used windex, rain-x cleaner, alcohol, amonia, ive scrubbed and scrubbed and its not doing a damn thing. ive even used a razor blade on some spots and that doesnt help either. the only thing that even comes close to working is carnuba was that appears to work verrryyyyyyyyyyyy little. ive tried just about everything except vinegar, news paper and glass polish.
pictures are found here (in some pix there is wax on the window, and there is also a spot that had yet to be washed when the pictures were taken, so ignore that)

it appears that webshots is down for upgrades which is obviously perfect timing [9:47pm], but once its up that link should work just fine
is there some kind of special insulation tint on these things or something that i am unaware of?
this is driving me insane and it looks like sh!it in the sun. for the love of god, if you have any info please share.
thanks in advance,

Re: haze on my window that WONT COME OFF
Normally, I'd suggest #0000 or #000 steel wool, but if it's on the inside, and you have the rear defroster on there, it's pretty tough to do without messing up your defroster.
