Got hit today...
Man, I was in our school parking lot, backed out of my space. Put in in neutral real quick with e-brake so i could readjust my seatbelt and get comfy, next thing I see is this girls truck back over my camaro's rear bumper. Bumper is sooo scratched, no... scraped and her tow hitch hit the bumper like a battering ram. Also her chrome bumper tore the tail panel that says camaro on it. Question: My paint (Teal Metallic) is flawless, looks wet all the time and gets comments everywhere. Will a shop be able to match my factory paint perfectly? If it's not matching perfectly I'm getting my whole car repainted but I'd hate to do that because the girl is in my senior class (of 34 people) and I'd feel kinda bad about her insurance. What do you guys think? Man I'm pretty mad though because my car gets washed 2 times a week, waxed everyother week and now looks like a piece of crap, I wanted to go to the track tomorrow night too...
Re: Got hit today...
If it took out the front clip more than likely it needs replaced. Any competent body shop can match the paint flawlessly. Take your time and look at some of their work. Be sure to check for solvent pops, their wet sanding job and their over all fitting of parts. Its worth it to take the time and do some examing.
Re: Got hit today...
I got hit in the back. Why I'm wondering about paint matching is that the front end of my car, just the nose was repainted at some time for an unknown reason and the paint does not match like it should. Not that it's totally disgusting but from different angles it can be lighter or darker than my hood and fenders and it doesn't shine like my factory paint does. And I don't want the back of my car to look like that because most people see the back of my car...
