God Dang Cats

Can someone PLEASE invent some motion sensitive thing that'll scare the !@#$!@ out of any cat that comes nearby? Can't they hear really high pitches or something? How bout a portable telsa coil.. ARGh.. Sorry I'm still pissed bout the local cats.. I just washed my car and the next day there were some nice muddy footprints all over the car =/

Lately there seems to be a rash of Cats vs. Camaros. Several posts on the matter, mostly scratches. At least they have good taste. I knew I liked cats for some reason. You can always crank up the sensitivity on the alarm's shock sensor, if you have one. A couple of horn blasts may train them to not jump on the car.

When you park the car, try laying three or four rubber snakes on the ground right around the car, might scare em off.

I used to put rubber alligators on my Supra to keep cats off, and they worked for me. Then when we moved, there are no cats around here yet.

My cats and my cars have to co-exist in the same garage. I cover the car with a couple of packing blankets whenever I park it, being careful to leave one corner near the low front part of the hood where they jump on.

I've never seen a cat on any car other than mine in our neighborhood.

It drives me crazy!

It's called 3" packing tape. Lay 3 or 4 strips acroos the hood, sticky side up. BWAHAHAHA! That'll teach it. I'm gonna try this the next time my neighbor's cat decides to sleep on my hood again. That would be so cool to come out the next morning and find the *&%#@ cat wrapped up in a tape cacoon. If it was still alive I'd hnag it by it's tail to a tree in the back yard and p!ss all over it for all the times it got my wheels and windshield. Then I'd tie it's mouth shut and hog tie it so I could shave the little ba$tard with clippers. Then I'd let the little waste of air go home. Gosh that would make my month!

In case you couldn't tell, I really don't like cats.

I live in Canada Eh... People only see those things on TV out here in suburbia.. maybe if i was out on a farm or something the gun to person ratio might go up a bit.. but not more than 1:100 people =)
What i need is a spring loaded hood thatll rocket that cat 3 blocks down.. they always land on their feet right?

I used to hide out with a pellet gun and everytime they came close to my car I would pop it one (I am a bad shot so I rarely hit what I aimed at....at least I got close). But the packing tape idea, hmmmm gonna have to try that one for those times I can't pellet them. My problem is my neighbors cars walk on my car while its in my garage (I have one of those enclosed canvas ones). I have found they only walk on my camaro and my nova. Played with the idea to catch them and turn them over to the humane society as strays, of course after the fun ride in a cat carrier and some bad corners

I have the same problem with cats myself. I wouldn't put tape on the car because when the cat gets caught in it, it's really going to freak out and scratch up your paint. The tape might also end up sticking to your paint, and you don't want that.

Also, the cats don't care about the car alarm going off. They are used to it.

I think the cats like the clean, smooth surface of cars that are taken care of. They seem to be drawn to my car even more after it has been washed and waxed.
