Its just a common metal polish, there are 100's on the market that do the same thing like Wenol, Mothers, Blue Magic, etc etc............

That stuff is great!!! It is excellent for polished clearcoated wheels. It cleans off oxidation without being abrasive. It is one of the best clearcoat wheel cleaners on the market!

I highly recommend it. Blue Magic works the same way, as a non abrasive wheel cleaner for clearcoated alum wheels, however, it takes a bit more effort with blue magic than with flitz.

Why would you use a metal polish on clearcoated wheels? Treat them like you would treat your paint....

Re: Flitz - Anyone try it yet?

Clearcoated aluminum wheels develop a white cloudy type of oxidation that will not clean by a conventional paint cleaner. It can be one of the hardest things on your car to clean. That is why a non abrasive wheel cleaner is needed. It is specially formulated to lift off chemically the oxidation while preserving your clearcoat surface.

You will not be able to use a paint cleaner (trust me) to lift off oxidation from polished clearcoated wheels. BTW, do not use any wheel polish like mother's billet or similar products. The polish MUST state that its non-abrasive and/or clearcoat safe.

You should see my friend's ****ty dull looking rims because he used an abrasive wheel cleaner.

I have some in my toolbox. Works great with some #000 steel wool to get water spots off the glass too. Leaves a greasy film, but I just hit it with windex afterwards.

You can try it, it wouldn't hurt, but I've had good results with Maguire's plastic polish and a damp rag.
