Engine Bay cleaning and shining

What do you use to clean a slightly dirty engine bay and how do you get the painted ares to shine up?Thanks

I use a product called Simple Green Extreme. It was formulated for aluminum aircraft engines and exteriors. Works great on LS-1's.
