Detailing after basic wax job

I have a Z28 getting ready to have some body work re-done but I want to give the car a good once over with a cleaner/wax. Mothers Carnuba. I don't want to wait as the car needs it pretty badly and I'll be driving for a little while until I sent it in. Once I get my car out of the shop and a month passes - is the current wax job going to hinder a complete Zaino multi-step detail? Just wondering if any current wax would have to be stripped or anything and how much of a pain that would be. thanx

Wash it with Dawn dishwashing liquid. That'll take care of the Mother's.

Just wash it with Dawn like you would a regular car wash soap?

Dish soap will strip down just about any car.

The Mothers Carnuba is the most durable over the counter stuff I've ever used!

It'll still get stripped.
