Ok I've always just "washed" my cars. Now I've ordered Zaino and am wanting to keep my car looking its best. But I don't know much about detailing.

1: Engine bay, I figure I'm off to a good start with it being a new car. How do I go about keeping it looking clean? What products do I use, how do I wash it without damaging anything, etc etc?

2: Interior, I've always used Armor All, but I was told that it actually wasn't good for interior. What is good? Also I am thinking I may just do seat covers and good thick rubber floormats to protect the interior. I'm mainly interested in preserving the car as afuture tradein on something with a V8. Is there a good brand of seat covers I should look into that will really protect the seats (ie: if something is spilled on them it also won't soak through to the seats below.). Also anyone know of seat covers for the back?

Any other general detailing tips you could offer would be great. My Zaino should come in this week, so I'll be giving the car a real good going over, and probably won't be able to touch it much til after winter. I have no garage.
