Question COTTON CHENILLE WASH MITT?

I'm having difficulty locating the Viking brand. Wal-Mart used to carry it but no longer in our area. As I recall, someone on this board had mentioned a different brand of chenille mitt that was good, any info on name brands would be appreciated. Thanks. . .

Talking

Thanks, guys, for your good info. Had I "thunk" to do a search I probably would have found it myself. I called the nearest NAPA store and the guy hadn't a clue what I was talking about. He was nasty, finally said, "Jesus Christ, do you have a part number?" and I did thanks to your searching for me. To add insult to injury I asked him where he was located, meaning the store location, and he replied "In the layaway room" so, being the little pain in the behind that I can be, I told him, "Well, at least you didn't tell me you were in the john." That was the final straw, he really got p o'd. I think I might wait until he's not working to go in and buy one (or two).

Thumbs down

I had horrible results from that NAPA mitt FWIW. It left sooo many spiders on the car I detailed long ago that I have not used it since! Very poor quality IMHO....YMMV

I've "heard" Detailers Choice and Turtle Wax have good cotton mitts, but considering I still use my Vikings, I have no need to try them first hand...

I have tried the Turtle Wax chenille mitt with good results. No swirls or spiderwebbing. The thing is extemely soft.

Are you sure that was NAPA or Autozone you called? I used to work at an Autozone, and we had a couple of employees who would say stuff like that.

Yup, absolutely sure it was NAPA. The guy was a jerk and he didn't get my business. I went to Checker's auto store and found the Viking mitt. They also had the Detailer's Choice mitt but it didn't say what it was made of and I'm pretty sure I could feel some poly in it so I didn't buy it even though it did feel good. I did, however, buy some Detailer's Choice cotton pads to apply polish. I hope they are okay, they felt ultra-soft. I always use Zaino pads but over the winter they have gotten to feel rough so not going to take a chance on them.
