Considering a P/T detailing business
Considering a P/T detailing business
I've been think of doing this for quite a while but never gave it serious consideration untill lately. Does anyone here run there own detailing business that could give me some useful links and/or advice as to how they started? I'm looking to do this as a part time thing to see how feasible it is to make money in my area, possibly leading to full time in a few years. I want to do this out of the camaro, I thought that may be a good marketing tool, plus my winter car is in pretty rough shape and I could just imagine the look of horror on potential customers as I pull up in an old rusty cavalier! Do you think people would pay a premium to have this type of service done at their home as opposed to being without their cars if they had to drop them off at a shop? I was thinking of putting adds in local town newspapers where there is a large number of upscale executive types who obviously have the money for the cars but not the time or ambition to spend a few hours every couple weeks cleaning their cars. Now for the forseeable problems. I would need to use their water, electricity and possible their garage on hot sunny days. Would that be a hard sell? Any opinions/ suggestions/comments/jokes/ideas welcome!! Thanks--Rob
