Color Sanding
I own a black '95 Camaro Z28 in very good condition. I recently spoke to an expert body and repair shop owner about wet sanding. He explained that my car's appearance would drastically improve following this process, but that there's a risk that the wet sanding could result in wearing down the paint enough that I would have to have part of car re-painted. He also said that this step would penetrate the clear coat finish. Please tell me what are the cost and benefits to having my car color sanded? Is it worth the risk? Can anyone share their experiences. What are the ramifications of removing or reducing the clear coat?
Thanks.
Thanks.
