Cleaning Windows

It seems like no matter what I do, my windows are always streaked. I use the Eagle 1 window cleaner which I like, but is there something better? What kind of cloth should i be cleaning with? Any help is appreciated.

Thumbs up

Yup, I agree with SpecForce. Stoner's makes a great glass product. I also like the DuraGloss glass cleaner. It always leave a completely streak free surface.

Another trick is to use newspaper to clean the windows. I like microfiber towels for the glass myself as it seems to absorb the film and dirt better.

I use newspaper and this foam glass cleaner called sprayway. I've seen it at Ace Hardware store, but I usually get from a detail supply store. It also make a great cleaner. Such as getting the wax of rubber around the windows.

Newspaper is the way to go!!! Been using that old show car trick for years. After you've used it to wipe off the cleaner (I use Eagle 1 20/20) get a fresh piece, wad it up and use it buff the glass.....awsome results.

I can also tell you the Zaino glass polish works wonders. My '97 SS had overspray on some of the glass and the Zaino did the trick, big time. If you have not polished the glass you might want to try that as well.

For a spray window cleaner Stoners Invisible Glass is great, if you have stains or haze that will not come off try Zaino Glass Polish or another Glass Polish brand.

Well today I finally tried to use newspaper with the Eagle 1 20/20 and it worked great! No streaks at all. You just have to change pieces of paper periodically or it starts coming off in little pieces on the glass. Other than that it's great. Thanks for all of your input guys.

Newspaper works good, but the best way to go is to get some paper towels called SO-DRI. They are similar to newspaper but don't have the ink that rubs off and they are easier to manage.
