Alright this is pi$$ing me off. I got these stripes like 5 months ago and they have these water spot type stains on them. I have tried everything to get them out. I have no idea where they came from but they aren't on the car just the vinyl. They aren't on the vinyl that goes under the spoiler just on the hood and the spoiler. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

 

i have the same exact problem, who did you get em from?
ive had no luck removing the spots but will post if i ever find a way, as far as i know we are both stuck with em till we get tired of it and take it off....oh, and it will get worse...ALOT worse

 

You might try a very light polish such as Menzerna Final Polish or a paint cleaner like Klasse AIO.

 

Same problem here with my roof stripes and front windsheild banner, I got mine from AutoGraFics.com, but they shorted me on my order, and never resent the other items....So if anyone finds somethin that works help us out!

 

I am on my second set of stripes on my car. I believe there is nothing that can take those spots off. I replaced mine with new vinyl and the same thing happened. Mine are silver and now they are not only spotted but cracked and just look terrible. I am just going to take them off and get stripes painted on.

 

Yeah i hear ya. I've given up and i'm just going to get them painted on.

Try baby oil... The clear Johnson and Johnson type.. I use it all the time to remove water spots and give stainless steel a lusterous sheen.. Worth a try here I think...

 

so what do you think works?.....baby oil....i'll try anything right now

 

are the spots getting any discoloration? Mine did and we sent a piece of the vinyl in to see why. MOLD was the answer...but that's sorta expected in FL with 90%+ humidity. Mine are now painted on.
