Question Cleaning old brake dust

My car has wheels with a lot of tiny spaces that are time consuming to clean one by one. The front wheels catch a lot of brake dust and I've never been able to get it all off no matter how I try to scrub it. Does anyone know something that can get it off easily?

Simple Green, bug and tar remover, some of those new orange cleaners like Orange Glo, all of these things are good at removing crud.
