Post Can you mix different "paint systems"?

I was wondering if it is alright to mix say a Meguires polish with a 3M wax or something to that effect? I know you can do it but will using different products for different steps be not as effective as using the same brand for all steps of cleaning? Thanks.

Probably not a problem with Meguiars and 3M stuff.

T1he only time I can think of that this might be an issue is when using different compounds during buffing. Obviously you step down to a finer compound as you finish out the process. A different brand, although similar in cutting power, may give different results.

Hand waxes and polishes and swirl removers should all be compatible between those makers.
