Can i wax my car right after a paint job?

About 3 months ago i got some body work done on my quarter panel and the guy said that i couldnt wax that area for a couple of months but when i got my ss spoiler painted he didnt say anything about not waxing it. Should i wax it? I wanna wax the whole car can i do it?

Here is the word I got from my body shop. Factory paint job (GM, not SLP) you can polish and wax right away. Non factory jobs like the ones they do, you have to wait 3 months or so.

They explained the factory baked the paint on. They don't - it would tend to ruin the fabric and rubber portions. Hence the 3 month wait.

If they took the spoiler off and roasted it after painting it, you would be ok. If not, they should have told you to wait.

you can polish it immediately, but you should wait at least 60 days before waxing.

First off how does the paint look.Any dirt in the paint or orange peel.If so you should or have it wet sanded flat.Once its compounded and polished back to life go ahead and wax.

Talking STOP!

Nah, just kidding. I actually had a spot paint job done on my hood that was scratched about 1 1/2 monts ago, the dealership told me not to wax it for about 2 months.
Oh, I see you have already waited the 3 months, go ahead and wax it.
