Exclamation Can I use the Mother's Claybar on my Zainoed car?

Or do I need to buy a Zaino clay bar?

I put Zaino on before the winter started. I went to a touchless car wash once, and they used a hot wax thing....I then realized that hotwax will wash off Zaino afterwards

So here is my plan: Wash, claybar, then Zaino.

I've never claybared a car before; are there any special tips & tricks that I should know of?

Thanks guys!

The Mother's clay works very well also, but I do prefer Zaino clay. Not huge differences in these clays, but just enough that I would use the Zaino clay before the Mother's if I had to choose between the two at the moment. Mother's clay will do the job fine.

As far as some tips to claying, here's a little info I put together: http://www.aimoo.com/forum/postview....hreadID=361466

Your plan is right on! I'd wash, clay, remove any swirls with a swirl remover (if necessary), then start the Zaino process, either with ZFX or Z1+Z2/Z5.

HTH!

The "hotwax" won't remove the Zaino. Just wash the car with Dawn before starting to clay.

Zaino, Mother's and Clay Magic all have good clay bars.

The only thing I noticed about the Mothers bar was it seemed to get waterlogged and start crumbling a little easier than Zaino's when using soap/water as a lube. Then again, I use a lot of lube so that may be it.

But like others have said, both do a good job.
