Post awesome time at the track, but need help with shoe polish

Had a blast with my club at the raceway, but now I have a problem. I washed my car hoping to get the shoe polish off, and it came off alright.... came off and spread all over my car, I mean everywhere! I tried using water and pressing a little harder, but won't come off with a rag. I can sit there and scrap with my finger nail every lil flake that is on the car, but that'll take me an entire day. Does anyone know of something that'll easily just wipe this stuff right off my car?? and won't hurt my paint.

Use rubbing alcohol, then wax afterwards.

Been there, had that. I let the car cool completely (cleaned the following morning)and used some Zaino Z6 to get it off. Worked well, but took a while.

I don't use Zaino anymore, but found Eagle One detail spray to work well.

Real stubborn flecks should come off with a clay bar very quickly.

Yeah, I was thinking clay bar or mild paint cleaner as well, such as Meguiar's or Mothers. Any of these should work well...

Like Jeff suggests, you may even try a simple detail spray first. Some of them contain alcohol or similar chemical cleaners and may do the trick. I don't know if Eagle One contains alcohol...but you might try what you have first before you buy something you may not need.

Clay bar is the simplest and most effective. For future reference, use the clay bar to take it off the window. It'll stick to the clay bar and won't flake all over the car - it'll also come off easier.

Good Luck
