Does anybody know what these are called or where I can get them? I need both of these for each door, so 4 in total. Need to finish my doors soon. 1974 camaro.
Obviously the bolt should not still be stuck in there. It will definitely not come out. Please let me know whwre I can get these new.
Are those the plates from inside your door? How did you get them out of the door? Other than the one with the stuck bolt, why can’t those be reused?
I tried a “search” on “1974 Camaro door interior hinge mounting reinforcement plate” (just a guess). Led to several vendors that sell hinges and other interior door parts, but not those plates. But those vendors may be a starting point in searching for them.
Alternatively, any decent machine shop should be able to duplicate them,.
Just a heads up - this site has over 100,000 members. Unfortunately very few of them are active any more. Most of those are 4th Gen LT1 owners. Wish there were more people here to help. And, every once in a while we get lucky, and a 1st or 2nd end owner shows up to help.
I got them out by removing the door skin and cutting the little cages they are kept in. I was able to get them pretty decent. A tiny bit thinner on one because of the rust grinding off, and I have to re tap one of the holes, but I think I can get them to work. Still can't quite find the exact name of these for some reason.
