Any tricks for getting wax out of the bird emblem on the front bumper?

The bird on my front bumper (97TA) has a lot of wax in the crevices. A toothbrush just scratches the black paint all up.

Any other ideas?

I know that dawn or any dish soap will remove wax from the body of the car, it might work for the bird. For me, when I get dried wax on it I just use a tooth pick and just be very careful.

Im not sure if this will work but maybe rubbing alcohol?.. I always just lightly brush it away with a soft brush

i take something sharp (like above mentioned toothpick, screwdriver, knife) and wrap it in a towel
be very careful as it can still poke through the towel though

Damn, you guys recommend some weird stuff...lol.

I use these detailing brushes. Totally paint safe, and gets everything out 100%.

A soft bristled tooth brush and a lil water will do wonders when it comes to removing excess wax. As far as not putting fine scratches in your paint...try beveling the tooth brush head and weigh the benefits, either white wax that literaly bakes on in the heat and looks really bad on a black surface or a few really fine scrathes.
