Another Zaino question...

I've decided to Zaino my guitars before I do my car to get some practice. I'm not using the ZFX, so does that mean I have to wait 6 - 24 hours after I apply either the Z2 or Z5 before reapplying it w/ Z2 or Z5 again?
This is what I've come to understand from the directions so far...

Apply Z2, wait at least half hour, wipe off Z2, apply Z6, wipe off immediately, wait 6 - 24 hours, apply Z5, wait at least a half hour, wipe off Z5, apply Z6, wipe off immideately, wait 6 - 24 hours, Apply Z2 again...and cycle like this...?

You should only have to wait 24 hours after the first coat. After that you should be able to wait about 3 hours between coats with no more than 3 in a 24 hour period.

Since you are not using ZFX, you need to wait at least 6 hours for the first coat of Z2 or Z5 to bond and harden. You can not do 3 coats per day without ZFX, and I would think you only need to wait 6 hours between coats since the temp in your house is probably greater than 70 degrees.

Are you using Z1 as the base coat? If so, appy it first then Z2/Z5 over it, wait for it to dry, then buff. You will then have to wait 6 hours for the next coat of regular Z2/Z5.

No Z1...I got the ZFX system. Should I use the ZFX on the guitars?

For the very very small amount of polish you will use on a guitar, I would use just straight Z2 or Z5. Or, use some leftover ZFX polish after doing the car. Since a guitar finish isn't exposed to any elements and durability isn't the primary concern, it won't really have to have ZFX to work fine. Like I said, you could just use a tiny amount of leftover ZFX after polishing the car if you wanted too. For that specific application purpose, I don't think Z1 or ZFX is absolutely necessary, although it would give you better results.
