Alternative to The Absorber
Alternative to The Absorber
I was just wondering where I could get a towel that dries just as effectively as the absorber, without the 10 dollar price tag, and the scratches most leave behind. Thanks

I don't think you can find a better value for the performance than the Absorber. I just got a new one at Wal-Mart for about $8 that replaced my last one that was at least 5 or 6 years old. Even the old one still works fine, but it's a little torn, and I wanted a newer one anyway for the new car. The Water Blade works great too, but is about twice the price. I like to use both actually. My new Absorber came with "The Glosser" sample. I used the Glosser on my door jambs, wheels, and exhaust tips and it worked nice too! Don't think I'd use it on the outside paint though...
So, I don't think you can buy anything that will soak up more water, cost less, and not scratch, than the Absorber. Truly a great product! If you don't want to use the Absorber, I'd recommend a high quality cotton towel, like Charisma, POLO, Noble Choice, etc... But, many of these can be more expensive than the Absorber too. I use them for buffing wax and polish residue, but not drying...

I've had mine for about 5 years. Use it frequently. It is still in great shape and I don't have any problems with scratches. Just make sure you car is clean and the Absorber is clean.
I don't store mine in a container, it completely drys out after each time I use it. I just wet it down and it works great each time.
