I've saved up a good amount of money, and I REALLY want to get my car looking good again. I read all these different posts, and I just get confused more. What will I need to wash my car, dry it, apply the Zaino ect? also, what non internet places could I get these things? No need to let me know what Zaino products to get, I'll search for a thread in which I asked a few months back.

For washing: Viking 100% cotton wash mitt, like this one: http://community.webshots.com/photo/...76856901zyoFkF

You can use the Viking site to locate their products in your area: http://www.vikingcarcare.com/locator.cfm I have found the all cotton Viking mitts at O'Reilleys and Bass Pro Shops here.

For drying: There are several techniques that work well, but I just use the Absorber and/or Microfiber Waffle Weave towels. Absorbers can be found almost anywhere locally, but the MF is interet only. www.microfibertech.com Others like to use leaf blowers or Cali Water Blades for drying.

For applying the Zaino: Use Sal's cotton applicator pads, or Viking also makes cotton app pads and foam app pads, all of which work fine.

For buffing Zaino and applying Z6: I prefer Microfiber towels, especially from Microfiber Tech.com. The Elite towels are great! If you absolutely do not want to internet order, then 100% cotton towels are the old standby. Fieldcrest Charisma or Royal Velvet are easy to find locally and work fine.

I personally do not like to use those kinds of towels, as they may cause fine swirls and scratches in the paint, which I find unnacceptable.

For local towels, your best bet would be either Fieldcrest Charisma, Royal Velvet, or Noble Choice. All of these towels are 100% cotton and made in the USA. For cotton towels, I actually like the Noble Choice the best, which I used to find at a local Dillard's store. Other department stores should carry the Fieldcrest.

I actually do not use cotton any longer for buffing, but if I had to use them again, it would be the NC or Charisma towels.
