I thing you should try this site out for info on it.

" One of the most critical times to wash your vehicle is immediately after a rainfall because of the ill effects of acid rain. Even though the water evaporates, the acid stays behind and can eat into your vehicle's finish. While you may not be able to prevent acid rain, you can prevent it from ruining your vehicle's finish by frequent washing and polishing. "

Was it the Zaino Z-12 glass polish you used. It will take a mild abrasive such as that and maybe even a buffer.

Try:
50/50 white vinegar and distilled water
undiluted vinegar
A clay bar
A mild rubbing compound
final polish with Zaino z12

One of these should work or all in series.

After removing all the stains try potecting the glass with some Z2 or Z5 to protect from future damage. Works great!!!

I've heard of using the vinegar on windows before to remove water spots, I would try that first

On my 97Z I used body scrub and a buffer. It worked pretty good. The body scrub is a clear coat cleaner.

umm... are you sure it's acid rain?

If your rear window has TINT on it... if you use an amonia based product to clean the windshield IE: Windex, i hear
then it'll turn your tint purple

Over time, some poorly made tint turns purple, i've read...

sure it's not just tint?

Yes, Im sure its not the tint..The window has been redone, and its still there...So, its "in" the glass.
